David Katz once served the state of Florida as an Assistant State Attorney. During his time in that position, he received specialized training with the Intolxilyzer 8000, the breathalyzer used by Florida law enforcement in DUI convictions, and served as the DUI/Intoxilyzer Specialist with the Seminole County State Attorney’s Office. His success was such that the Florida Prosecuting Attorney’s Association selected him to teach the ins and outs of trial skills to new prosecuting attorneys. Mr. Katz now uses that insider knowledge to defend Florida residents against DUI charges. He is one of the founding partners of Katz & Phillips.

With Mr. Katz, Mr. Phillips is also a founding partner of Katz & Phillips and is experienced in both family law and criminal defense. A graduate of the Mississippi College School of Law, Mr. Phillips began his career in that state, serving the Rankin County Prosecutor’s Office and advocating for abused and neglected children there. As a prosecutor, he was undefeated. Mr. Phillips relocated to Florida where he served as an Assistant State Attorney for the 1st and 18th Judicial Circuits, prosecuting more than 3,000 cases. Mr. Phillips also has extensive experience with DUI cases, having devoted much of his career as an Assistant State Attorney to prosecuting them.
Mr. Phillips then entered the private sector, advancing to Senior Association at a criminal defense/family law firm. The appointment was a record-breaker; he was the youngest attorney ever to achieve this honor with the firm. During his time with the law firm, Mr. Phillips defended major felony crimes, both at the State and Federal level. His extensive experiences ranges from misdemeanors to felonies punishable by life and includes sex crimes, internet crimes, manslaughter, murder, robbery and burglary. He served as co-counsel on a capital death penalty trial.
As a family law attorney, Mr. Phillips handles divorces – both uncontested and contested – as well as alimony issues, custody and child support litigation and modifications. He’s a staunch advocate of father’s rights, and handles paternity issues as well.

An Alaskan native, Mr. Farr is a worldwide traveler and adventurer with a wide variety of experience and interests. An exchange student, he traveled to and studied in Paraguay as a teenager before returning to Anchorage. He spent his teenage years working in the Alaska wilds before traveling south to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado, Boulder and studied electrical and computer engineering. From Colorado, he moved on to California and Vandenberg Air Force Base, where he attended Undergraduate Missile Training and was commissioned second lieutenant in the United States Air Force. He then traveled to Wyoming, where he achieved the rank of Deputy Missile Combat Crew Commander, then Alternate Squadron Command Post Flight Commander at the 321st Strategic Missile Squadron at F.E. Warren Air Force Base. Mr. Farr met and married his wife, Maritza, in Wyoming, and the couple then traveled to Massachusetts, to Hanscom Air Force Base. At Hanscom AFB, Mr. Farr was employed as an Acquisition Test Engineer for the Cheyenne Mountain Upgrade Program and Joint STARS.
Mr. Farr eventually left the military in 1993. He remained in the Boston area and worked as a software engineer for several years, achieving his Master of Science Degree in Computer Science with High Distinction in 2001. Mr. Farr then traveled south to Florida to attend Barry University School of Law where graduated cum laude and served as editor-in-chief of the Barry Law Review.
Currently the president and CEO of Anago Product Solutions, Mr. Farr continues to serve in the United States Air Force Reserve. He serves as a Lieutenant Colonel with the 66th Air Base Wing at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts. He and his wife are busy raising two children. When he’s not working, you might find Mr. Farr in the air – he’s a devoted instrument-rated private pilot whose life mission is to fly as many different aircraft as possible.
Mr. Townsend prefers to be called Stan and has worked both as a special agent with the FBI and as a detective with a central Florida police department. Stan has extensive experience in the investigation and prosecution fields from his years with the federal government and the local police. Originally from Townsend, Georgia, Stan has lived in the central Florida area since 1974. He possesses a business administration degree as well as a law degree. AnnMarie Jenkinson began her law career at a personal injury law firm as an intern while attending Barry University – Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in Orlando. She also attended high school in the Orlando area, at Bishop Moore High School, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Rollins College in Winter Park. After graduating cum laude from Rollins College in 2005, AnnMarie served as president of the St. Thomas More Society in law school, an organization dedicated to preserving ethical and moral standards among legal professionals. She earned honors as well in the areas of healthcare law and trial advocacy. Her legal interests extend to family law, as she completed a clinical internship at the Barry University Children and Families Legal Clinic, and she completed a Florida Supreme Court-approved certified legal internship under the guidance of a licensed attorney.
AnnMarie was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2009 and was simultaneously promoted to Associate Attorney with the personal injury firm where she was interning at the time. She joined the attorneys at Katz & Phillips less than a year later, where she focuses on family law matters and personal injury cases. Her family law experience ranges from divorce matters to custody disputes, including relocation trials. She’s handled domestic violence injunctions, child support issues, paternity issues, dependency issues and alimony cases. Her personal injury experience includes auto accidents, slip-and-fall lawsuits, dog bite suits and theme park-related injuries. AnnMarie is devoted to her clients and to advocating for their best interests. She is a member of the Florida Bar Association and an Associate Member of the Central Florida Family Law Inns of Court.
