Ken A. Barlow, Jr. is a Florida Bar Board Certified Criminal Trial Lawyer, and has been since 2008. This means that he holds the highest Florida Bar Association certification or qualification that any Florida lawyer can obtain in Criminal Trial Law in Florida. Only highly skilled and knowledgeable lawyers attain this level of professional certification, which requires peer review for proven ethics, exceptional legal skill – including trial skills – and requires a demonstration of legal knowledge and expertise in the area of certification which is tested by the Florida Bar in a special Board Certification Exam.

He served as a Prosecutor for 9.5 years, handling both Felony and Misdemeanor cases. As a former and current Criminal Defense Trial Lawyer, Ken has handled a multitude of legal issues and appeared in many courts representing his clients in State and Federal Court during his legal career.
In the course of his legal career, Ken has prosecuted and defended both Felony and Misdemeanor cases, and has taken many cases to trial, on both sides of the aisle. As a Prosecutor and as a private trial lawyer, Ken has experience involving serious felonies, such as crimes of violence like murder/attempted murder cases, sexual offenses against adults, sexual offense against children, burglary cases, robbery cases, aggravated battery charges, drug offenses, property/theft related cases, firearms cases, fraud cases, and misdemeanor cases, like Driving Under the Influence cases, including challenges to breath test evidence, Domestic Violence cases, battery cases, wildlife cases, worthless check cases, extradition matters, and numerous other types of cases as well.Work Experience
During his 6 years of service as a County Court Judge, Ken presided as a trial judge over jury trials, as well as all of the other numerous Court-related judicial duties required of him while on the Bench. Ken Barlow left the Bench on January 5, 2015, and resumed the private practice of law at his own law firm on January 17, 2015.
